I want to empower the ATG community to tackle this as a DIY project, however I’ve also made the Tib Factory Slant Board available for purchase, to better serve those that don’t have the tools, materials, skill set or time to make their own.

In Ben’s programs, he coaches slant board exercises for increasing knee range of motion, becoming more athletic, bulletproofing your knees and patellar tendons, and using slant boards for eliminating knee pain. Slant boards encourage a full range of motion in the squat while maintaining a more upright torso to better load the VMO muscle that helps directly support the knee. A MORE VERSATILE ATG BUDDY ALTERNATIVE - The ATG Squat Wedge is an affordable solution for strengthening your patellar tendons, quadriceps / VMO, and full lower body development. The ATG Squat wedge can be used for unilateral knees over toes exercises like the Poliquin step up, the ATG split squat, seated calf raises, and standing calf raises as well as bilateral movements like the ATG squat / KOT Squat, Jefferson Curls, and toes elevated Romanian Dead Lifts. Unlike smaller individual wedges that are hard to line up for two legged movements, the ATG squat wedge is extra wide to allow for both unilateral and bilateral movements, while maintaining the ease and small foot print of smaller single foot squat wedges like the ATG Buddies.

One of the best slant board exercises is the Poliquin step up. This one legged partial squat on a slant board created by Charles Poliquin, is incredibly effective for patellar tendon training and something I regularly program in my own training. Slant boards can also be used to help with plantar fasciitis and stretching and strengthening of the calves.
SLANT BOARD FOR ATHLETES - Many of the cheap adjustable slant boards on the market today are not wide enough or strong enough to support larger athletes and weighted slant board exercises. While bodyweight slant board exercises are a great first step in a knee pain rehabilitation program, knee bulletproofing often requires extra load. The Tib Factory Slant Board is built to handle weighted movements like slant board barbell squats, and barbell poliquin step-ups. The Tib Factory Slant Board is 19.75” wide to accommodate both wide and narrow stance squats and is built on a 24 degrees angle to better target the patellar tendons and VMO.
